We’ve always enjoyed owning multiple watches and changing their straps to suit our mood, our plans for the day, or what we’re wearing. A different strap can completely change the character of a watch, and that simple flexibility is one of the things we enjoy most about watch ownership.

To change those straps, we needed a spring-bar tool. Like many watch enthusiasts, we searched online, read about the available options, and purchased several tools. Unfortunately, we found many of them difficult to use, uncomfortable in the hand, and poorly made. They didn’t always give us the control or precision we needed to remove and install spring bars successfully.

Some tools broke and had to be replaced, turning what should have been a quick strap change into wasted time and unnecessary expenses. Others were uncomfortable because of the materials and construction. Over time, the excitement of changing straps devolved into a frustrating, dreadful experience.

Instead of accepting those limitations, we decided to design the tool we wanted to use ourselves.

That decision led to the development of the SBT Premium Watch Spring-Bar Tool. SBT was created to address the challenges we experienced with third-party tools by focusing on comfort, control, durability, and a more considered approach to watch care.

Our aim is simple: to remove the frustration from changing watch straps and help enthusiasts feel more confident when working with their watches. Whether you’re matching a strap to your outfit, preparing for a particular activity, or simply enjoying the ritual of trying something new, SBT is designed to make the process feel easier, more reliable, and more enjoyable.
